Personal profile
Biography
I am a Lecturer in the UWA School of Agriculture and Environment. My research interests focus on geographical elements of environmental systems, and how spatial and temporal models can examine environmental change and drivers of change. Particularly this has involved investigating coastal and marine changes in habitat through Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing data.
Recent research projects have been focussed on assessing remote sensing technolgies and spatial analytics for monitoring and detecting change in marine habitat, including mangroves, seagrass, and coral reefs. I have a particular interest in developing and testing emerging remote sensing and GIS methods for marine and environmental monitroing, and assessing blue carbon. Over my research career my research expereince has expanded to include in population health.
I teach into the ENVT 4408 Programming in GIS, and ENVT 4408 Remote Sensing of the Environment Postgradaute units.
