Biography

Dr Jayasinghe is an Interventional and General Cardiologist particular interest in coronary angiography and angioplasty, echocardiography, management of chest pain and dyspnea, heart failure, PFO closure (for stroke and migraine) and atrial fibrillation.

He also is interested in risk factor modification, management of hypertension and dyslipidaemia and cardiovascular risk mitigation in diabetes.

Professor Jayasinghe heads the Cardiology Unit at the Gold Coast University Hospital since 2006. He is an experienced academic with professional appointment at Griffith University, Bond University and Macquarie University in Sydney.

Professor Jayasinghe achieved his Medical Degree with 1st Class Honors from Sydney University. He completed his medical and specialist training in Sydney and Newcastle before completing an advanced fellowship in interventional Cariology in New York USA.

He is keen to offer inpatient consultations, echo studies and 45-day Cardiac rhythm monitoring at Robina Private Hospital. He also consults regularly at the Robina Private Hospital consulting rooms located on the 6th floor of the Rocket building in Robina.
