Personal profile

Dr Reza Mahinroosta has conducted research in broad range of geotechnical engineering application including laboratory and numerical modelling. This includes remediation of contaminated soils, modelling the soil collapse due to saturation, analysis and rehabilitation of geo-structures against earthquakes and vibrations, modelling and rehabilitation of dams and tunnels, modelling the rock masses and rock joints behaviours.

Most recently, Reza has undertaken research on the remediation of the poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) in contaminated lands. Both laboratory and numerical modelling of special method are under study for the sites in Australian regional areas. Reza also is interested in workplace learning (WPL) aligned with the non-traditional approach of CSU Engineering towards engineering education.
