I have been an active member of the international evolutionary computation and optimisation community for the past twenty years. In that time, I have produced over 90 peer reviewed works, including books, journal articles, book chapters and conference papers. Apart from that, I have organised and chaired a number of conferences and workshops as well as supervised students at a masters and doctoral level.
My current interests focus on real-world applications of evolutionary computation (particularly in the area of long term crop planning under climate change) as well as the algorithmic mechanics of heuristic search techniques.
Topics within the area of real-world optimisation and the examination of evolutionary computation methods are available for HDR students to pursue with me.
