Previous positions

Research assistant 1993-1995 tissue culture;
Research Assistant 2003-2008 Lupin breeding with emphasis on Cross Fertilisation;
Research Assistant 2004-2006 Herbicide Resistance of Legume Plants;
Research Officer 2009 to current; Abiotic Stresses in Chickpea.

Research interests

The research focus is on the identification of Physiological and genetic traits associated with plant adaption to salinity focusing on the legume plant chickpea (Cicer arietinum). I perform glasshouse and field salinity experiments. Salt resistance measurements focus on the tissue concentrations of sodium, potassium and chloride in chickpea leaves, stems flowers and seeds.
