Jishan Liu is a Professor in School of Engineering, The University of Western Australia. His primary research interests are Unconventional Reservoir Multiphysics (URM) with an application to coal seam gas extraction, shale gas extraction, CO2 sequestration in coal, coal mine safety and caprock sealing safety. Specific interests include: (1) Effects of Local Mass Transfer and Momentum Transfer and Deformation Compatibility between Rock Matrix and Fracture on Physical Processes; and (2) Their Inclusion in the Framework of Geo-Multiphysics.
