Biography
Within milliseconds of seeing a face, people form impressions of traits such as trustworthiness, intelligence and competence. My research is focused on understanding how and why people form these facial first impressions. In particular, I am interested in how adults form impressions of children's faces, the functional facial cues that signal these impressions, whether there is any accuracy in impressions, and the development of children's impressions. I have used data-driven approaches and face transforming techniques to build models of these facial impressions.
