Professor Elizabeth Grant CF has a distinguished record in the field of Indigenous architecture and placemaking with specialist interests in the design of public, community and institutional environments and reform for Indigenous peoples.

Grant is an elected member of Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS), a Churchill Fellow and has published four books and over 70 papers. She was the lead editor of the International Handbook of Contemporary Indigenous Architecture (Springer 2018).

She was honoured with the International Prison and Correctional Association (ICPA) Excellence in Research Award for her pioneering work and reform in prison design, and has contributed to various national and international Industry and Government Inquiries, Royal Commissions on architecture and design needs. Grant has worked with design teams on numerous award winning projects and was a member of the creative team for the 2020 Venice Architecture Bienannale.
