Associate Professor Claude Farah is an adult respiratory and sleep physician. He has extensive clinical experience in the assessment and management of mild and severe asthma, COPD, breathlessness, sleep apnea, lung cancer and nodules. He has particular interest in the area of airways disease (asthma and COPD), lung physiology and imaging. He is accredited in performing flexible diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy as well as endobronchial ultrasound.
A/Prof Claude Farah consults at Macquarie University Clinic. He is also a part-time staff specialist and is responsible for the Airway Clinic service at Concord Hospital. He has academic appointments at Macquarie University and The University of Sydney. He trained at Concord and Royal Prince Alfred hospitals and completed his PhD in airway physiology at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research, Sydney University. He has published scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals, has been involved in national position statement documents, has been an invited speaker at local and international meetings and supervises PhD and graduate research students.
