Current projects

TRANSLATION: I am currently working on the translation of a collection of short novels.
I am translating contemporary Italian poetry.
RESEARCH: I am investigating in the use of social media in the foreign language classroom and looking into new methods of teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

I design, teach and coordinate all of the Spanish units available at The University of Western Australia (UWA) and I launched the new UWA Spanish Major - currently the only one available to students in Western Australia - by implementing an innovative research-driven approach and creating networks among UWA and other international universities, and between UWA and the wider Western Australian (WA) community.

I also teach and coordinate units of the Master of Translation Studies and I teach units of Italian Studies.

I have been at UWA since 2011 and my main area of interest is second language teaching and translation.
